aika lähteä ja lähettää: Lapsista

Tänään aamukokouksen jälkeen söin yhdessä 15 muun ihmisen kanssa työkaverini Marlènen kotona, ja jälleen ranskalaiseen tapaan kokonaisuuteen kuului alkuruoka, pääruoka, juustot ja jälkiruoka. Ryhmään kuului aikuisten lisäksi 5 lasta ja sain istua heidän kanssaan. Olin jo melkein ennättänyt unohtaa, miten Isän sydämessä on erityinen paikka lapsille! Ei siis ollut sattumaa, että löysin itseni leikkimästä puolikielisenä lasten leikkejä. Voi miten minä nautinkaan siitä! Lasten parissa tehtävää työtä arvostetaan täällä sanoissa, mutta aavistelen, että aivan kuten Suomessakin vain harva on todella syttynyt sille. Kuitenkin yksikin Isälle voitettu lapsi elää tulevaisuutensa parhaassa mahdollisessa seurassa. Täydellisestä anteeksiannosta huolimatta aikuisen taakkana on menneisyys ja synnin aiheuttamat haavat. Jeesus sanoi syystä "Sallikaa lasten tulla minun tyköni, älkääkä estäkö heitä, sillä senkaltaisten on Taivasten valtakunta!" (Mark. 10:14)

Today after the morning service Marlène had invited me and 15 other people to eat in her home. According to the french culture the meal included entrée, main course, cheese and dessert. Besides the adults there were also 5 children and I got to sit with them. I had almost forgotten that there really is a special place for children in the Father's heart. And it was no wonder that I found myself playing with the children (even though I didn't understand everything they were speaking). And oh, how I enjoyed it! In Finland I've noticed that children's ministry is appreciated in words but many times people lack the passion. I see something similar here. However, a child gives his whole life to the Father (including the short past, present and future). An adult has to carry his past and the effects of his wrong choises to the very end, even though he's completely forgiven. I think it was for a reason that Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these"(Mark 10:14)

Uusi työviikko alkaa huomenna. Olkaa runsaasti siunattuja ja muistakaa oman seurakuntanne lasten parissa tehtävää työtä!
